How to open the door to Success?

Gratitude is the law of increase

Everyone wants to be successful.  But they just don't know-how.  To unlock the door to success lies in how you view your life.  Our lives are made up of different areas such as emotional, financial, material, relationship, and spiritual.  We measure the success of these categories on how we have increased or decreased their volume.   For example, we equate the success in finances depending on how big the bank accounts are.  We measure the success of material things such as the number of hectares of land you own, the number of houses you have built, and the number of cars you drive.   We also equate the level of our spirituality to the number of books we have read and the degree of schooling we have attained.  But at the end of the day, have we reached the level of satisfaction we want?  The big answer is NO! We do not.

There was this richest man in this world who was asked, "up until when are you going to chase for money".  He said, "a little bit more".  Man cannot and will not be able to reach the satisfaction of his life until he found the true meaning of life.   Life is not more about money, it's not more about the material things, it's not more about the number of successful relationships or the higher achievement you have made.  It's more than that!

Ecclesiastes 1:2

“Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher.

“Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.”

"The material attitude towards money is to trust in your salary, your income, and your investments which can shrink overnight.  The spiritual attitude is to trust in God who will supply. " Florence Scovel Shinn

The door to success is knowing that there is a higher calling we have in this world.  The best question to ask is "What am I on earth for?".  This will unlock the very question of why we do what we do?  These questions will enable us to realize the very purpose of our existence in this world.   Mark Twain says, "there is two most important time in this world, the first is when you are born and the second is the time you know the purpose of your life on earth."  This my friend is the door to success.

Well, knowing your purpose is one thing, but taking action is another thing.  It has been a conquest to be able to level up my faith to jump over the boat where I am in.  Over the years of working in an IT company, I have been looking for a higher purpose.  One day, I was looking at the window of our office building and I asked myself what am I here for?  Have I been just working for my own economy or for the economy of others?

All things are wearisome, more than one can say. The eye never has enough of seeing, nor the ear its fill of hearing.

What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again;

there is nothing new under the sun.

I have been so comfortable enough to keep my 8-hour job.  I don't want to jump over the cliff where I don't know where I am landing.

During the past 2019 pandemic, I accepted a responsibility to help out in pastoring a community church in Sampaloc Manila.  In this area of my life, I can have a fuller life and satisfaction.

The open the door to success is to know your purpose.  This thought can not be easy to understand and it may take us years to process.  But one thing is for sure when you reached that time in your life where intuition knocks you down don't hesitate to follow because you are up to the successful days of your life.
